About:
SoftDesk is a student society housed by Department of Telecommunication
& Information Technology of University of Engineering &
Technology, Taxila.
Mission and Vision:
Society has long craddled information & technology as
her blue eyed boy and to his nourishment, vitamin of research was
acredited essential for not only his but entire human race existence by
far.
In an institute where worlds ancient
civilization meets worlds' latest, that child needed but to be looked
at. For if not here within the walls of University Engineering &
Technology, were else could that child find the best amalgam of protiens
and fats necessary for its growth!
Going for the same child SoftDesk was born.
On a broader outlook
it will orchestrate workshops on the latest technology trends, tools and
theories in industries to prepare university students for participating
in various national level contests. It promises to offer a platform to
the students, teachers and researchers where nifty and prolific ideas
could be shared from the fields of Telecommunication & IT
engineering, and Software Engineering in particular. In addition it aims
to sketch out orientation and guiding sessions for the newbies to make
them feel home with technolgy and development standards in practice
Apart from that
SoftDesk holds UET Olympiad as her prime event to be held every year.
Including as many events of arts, technology, sports, gaming with
entertainment in form of various social events for students.Its verve
will add into the university’s technical reputation, bringing out
business to the university as well as it will be an authoritative
trademark of UET TAXILA.
Organizational Structure:
Born Sep. 2011, SoftDesk team works under Dean Telecom
& IT department with Chairman Software as her patronage and a senior
IT lecturer being her Student adviser.
Student Body is designed as President at
a top of hierarchy, with Vice President, General. Secretary and Finance
Secretary to be followed. All from senior most session' of Software
Dept.
Team is further divided into domains
of Media, Marketing, Sports, Arts, IT and Documentation with members in
each team answerable to their respective field heads.
